Amish Baked Oatmeal Recipe

Guests love to be pampered with a full-course delicious breakfast brought right to them in the morning. Just this morning someone posted on our Facebook page "Having breakfast brought too you and sitting in front of the fireplace eating it …is a little slice of heaven". 

Our Amish Baked Oatmeal is always a guest favorite and today I thought I'd share the recipe. It's perfect for a cool fall morning! You can get creative with toppings and add fresh berries and homemade whipped topping! Some people also like to add raisins and/or nuts. 


  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 egg
  • 2-4 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup HOT water
  • 3/4 - 1 cup Quick Oats


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and egg together in a small mixing dish. 
  • Add milk, water, and quick oats and stir to combine.
  • Transfer to individual baking dish.
  • Bake for 45 minutes in oven.

Serve with maple syrup, brown sugar, and steamed milk. Delicious!
